Giving Tuesday, falling this year on 28 November 2024, was a unique opportunity for the FM Logistic community to engage with charity.

In celebration of World Charity Day, our employees actively supported those in need through a variety of charitable initiatives.
Giving Tuesday is an international movement encouraging generosity and social solidarity during the shopping rush associated with Black Friday and the upcoming holidays. Our employees in Central Europe have participated in a number of campaigns – mainly collections for socially excluded people in the immediate vicinity of our units.
Supporting families in difficult life situations
In Mszczonów on Ługowa Street, at FM Fresh and in Odrzywołek, a lottery was organised and the money raised was used to help the municipal social assistance centres charges who suddenly found themselves in a difficult life situation.
Help for children and young people
Employees from Tomaszów Mazowiecki organised a fair of flower pots, potted flowers, books, board games and sweet baked goods. The funds will be donated to renovate the communal flat of an orphanage charge ‘Słoneczko’.
In turn, the team from Jarosty collected cosmetics and household chemicals for children from the Orphanage in Piotrków Trybunalski.
At the FM Logistic head office in Mszczonów, a cake and clothing fair was held under the slogan ‘Give clothes a second life’, with the proceeds going to support the family orphanage.
Employees from the Czech Republic and Slovakia organised a fundraiser, which was donated to children from an orphanage in the Czech town of Litoměřice. The children also received a ‘snoezelen’ carpet for sensory therapy prepared by employees, and the Lovosice team additionally prepared a birthday tree and Christmas gifts for them. As a thank you, the children prepared Christmas cards for our Czech and Slovak customers, and handmade angels for our employees.
Integration activities
In Głogów, employees took part in a Christmas decorating competition, a Christmas decorations fair and a charity cake bake-off. Funds from these activities went to one of the employees, whose family is struggling with medical costs.
Support from local institutions and centres
In Niepołomice, Będzin and Olszowa, collections of foodstuffs, cosmetics, household chemicals and clothing were conducted as part of Giving Tuesday. The beneficiaries were the Hospice for Children in Katowice, the Home for Young Children in Kraków and the Community Self-help Centre for People with Disabilities in Strzelce Opolskie and the Youth Education Centre in Leśnica.
Our team from Sered in Slovakia, meanwhile, prepared a Christmas performance for the residents of a local retirement home and donated Christmas gifts. And for children from a local orphanage, employees prepared a lecture entitled ‘The value of money and the value of gold and coins’.
The effect of joint activities
All the initiatives demonstrate the power of commitment and solidarity. As a result, we have managed not only to help many people, but also to create an atmosphere of cooperation and concern for others.
Thank you to everyone who joined in this year’s Giving Tuesday. Together we can do even more!
